If you do catch a cold, it is vital that you rest and protect your body from developing more serious ailments. There is no cure for a cold however Joan Burke, founder of the Isabella Skincare Collection believes a cold is a way of exercising the immune system.
Here's a simple, natural remedy that will have you feeling better in no time.
The Isabella Support Remedy
- A mug of cold water
- A thumb size amount of fresh ginger peeled and grated.
- Ground black pepper (3 strong twists from a peppermill)
- Juice of half a lemon
- A tablespoon of honey
Heat the water in a saucepan. Add the ginger and ground black pepper and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Strain the liquid. Add the lemon juice and honey. Stir, pour into a mug and take to bed and sip slowly.
